So yes, it is another factory game, and yes, Zac had to check it out. But he decided to bring Rob along to look at the belts prior to the early access launch of Satisfactory. Skip to 49:50 to see Zac’s full operation.
Satisfactory
Exploit the natural resources of an alien planet to build machines, vehicles, buildings and more in this open-world game by Coffee Stain Studios.
Zeg is getting all the factory he wants this winter. Satisfactory is the second. It's time to start fresh and get onboarded.
After a few hours of off-video building, Zeg is back and ready for the next big steps. These include: A Space Elevator, Coal Power, Sinking Caterium, and Gunpowder. Also just a little bit of bug wrangling.
How many hours did it take for human civilization to get from coal to oil? Well, it took Zeg less than that at least. It's time to start pumping in Satisfactory.
The general health level of the SaladCast crew is increasing but progress is gradual. We prescribe more SaladCast and video games.
In this episode there's not much news so we'll talk about TV, Call of Duty, the Factorio explansion, Flintlock and Splatoon 3 Side Order.
In this podcast:
Time to get cosy in the front of the TV, get settled in and startle all around you with sudden bursts of profanity. Such is videogames.
In this episode, Satisfactory, Flintlock, 140, Timberborn, Star Trucker, Space Engineers and Castlevania nestle in beside the news.

In this podcast:
Somehow we didn't talk about Splatton 3's Grand Festival. Rob is sorry for the omission and will submit to punitive gunging just like you would see on a 90's TV show. What happened to gunge? #BringBackGunge
What we did talk about is the PS5 Pro, a wild new Like A Dragon game announcement, Satisfactory going 1.0, Kunitsu-Gami, Time Crisis: Project Titan and a bunch of other stuff... but no Splatoon.
In this podcast:
Zac and Rob have caught 2023's "brutal cold". Unfortunately there's no umlaut on that so I regret to inform you that Jack Black is not a guest on this episode. Zac does talk about his new PC though, Rob finds his inner moth man with Cocoon and Dan is still full of Wonder.
In this podcast:
Just because it's episode 343 doesn't automatically mean we talk about Halo. They don't return our calls anyway. It's making me feel guilty but I have no idea what sparked it.
In this episode, we try to understand why the UK is blocking the Activision/Blizzard sale, Zelda hype and the important topic of educating the youth on videogames. There's also Hot Wheels Unleashed, Oxygen Not Included and more Ni No Kuni.
In this podcast:

More enjoyable than running, it's time for the SaladCast! Zac outdoes himself and talks about at least three manufacturing games, Rob checks out Omega Strikers and the first Splatfest of Splatoon 3 and Dan embraces the sugar tax.
In this podcast:
2021 has been a weird year for games and for how the Happysalad crew played them. As a result we're making the Game of the Year stuff less of a thing. This way we can talk about Halo Infinite some more and with only mild spoilers.
In this podcast:
In this episode we pick out the bits that interested us from The Game Awards whilst juggling cats and bad throats. Rob wraps up Backbone, flies away in Exo One and Zac adds some DLC to the usual Oxygen Not Included segment. Oh and a little thing called Halo came out so we checked that out too.
In this podcast:
Statistically, from a sample size of this podcast, 2 out of 3 factory games have the word "factory" in the title. You may also know that there are other genres that exist. This week we include the "shoot stuff", "drive stuff", "hit stuff", "think stuff" and "read stuff" varieties.
Genre learnings coutesy of the Saladcast.

Move into the country, don't see no trick or treaters, Move into the country, there's more time for the pizza.

There's Nintendo news, Minecraft news, GTA news and more news. There's Artful Escape game, Sable game, Hyrule Warriors game and more games. And of course we have Rob man, Zac man and Dan man (but not more mans).
In this podcast:
Not much happening in game news so there's plenty of room for important topics like modern toilets. We also played Yakuza 3, What the Golf, Genesis Noir, Among Us and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, which was nice.
Gary Numan wants his cars back. They're his friends.
In this podcast:

It should come as no surprise in these unprecedented times that testing is important. Testing helps us discover what works and what doesn't. Rob failed to test new recording options thoroughly enough. Rob is sorry.
This week we cover some Square Enix news, Satisfactory updates, more Dirt 5, Stardew Valley and Control and the nature of grime.
In this podcast:
I'm spending my time thinking about alternative doomsday theories. If cats cast aside their differences with the pigeons, their web of information could bring down governments. They know what they're doing and I'm onto them.
In this episode we pick out a few things from New Game +, discuss the return of live sports, play Pool Panic and Creeper World 4 and check in on a few regulars.
In this podcast:
We didn't manage to get through all the game news we had and now there's more! An early SaladCast for you! In this episode we cover our picks from the PC Gaming Show, the Future Games Show and EA Play.

Adapted from a lyrical genius serenading the aisles of ASDA: “Salady Saladcast. What are you? You’re a podcast.”
