"Negative Chromostereopsis" is one of the words I learnt this year and so are “post-truth” and “Brexit”. But while there's a lot of bad stuff to take away from this year you can also learn about the great year of games we’ve had and the SaladCast is ready to educate you. There’s also some sucky stuff for balance and fun but let’s celebrate! This special SUPER-LONG episode has us figuring the best of the best that we saw and honoring them with possibly the least prestigious GOTY on the internet.
XCOM 2
The aliens have won and the remnants of XCOM must strike to take back the Earth in this sequel to Firaxis' 2012 reboot.
October is here and games are starting to come out for us to mostly ignore. Instead we talk about, XCOM 2, PSVR, Shadow of Mordor, running, Space Engineers, GTA V, FAST Racing NEO, Theatrythm, pay-to-spray, Affordable Space Adventures, Team Fortress 2 and always more Rocket League.

It's time for the Salad Games 2016. For the first event we must embrace the new tradition of there being at least one interruption Rob has to deal with per episode. We refer to an classic problem maker, the doorbell. How long into the episode do we make it before it rings? The winner is the closest guess and will win a golden delicious apple they must purchase themselves.
This episode contains fridges, No Man’s Sky, DOOM, keyboards and mice, Factorio, XCOM 2, Nano Assault EX, headphones, Overwatch and the aforementioned interruption.

There's Sonic news! There’s Sonic news! For Zac and Rob this is a big deal so let’s chat about the possibilities and the probability of them being crap. There’s a tiny bit of other news, DOOM, escape rooms, Starbound, house grouse, Factorio, Metal Gear Solid V, honey shoes, Rocket League and XCOM 2.

Rob often gets a bit of a ribbing from his cohorts about what he considers newsworthy for the cast but this week fate leaves Zac in charge of Rob's list... so some stuff may get a bit ignored.
This week we have new PC’s, XCOM 2, maintenance, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Day of the Tentacle: Remastered, steering wheel updates, Pokémon GO and gums.
CS:GO gambling is shady. Everyone’s on the take.

What does it mean if you get "Enter Sandman" stuck in your head for a day and you haven't even heard the song in, like, forever? Does it cement it as a badass song? Is it destined to get on my nerves? Am I doomed to cause people to sleep forever? The answer may be found in your reaction to arcane recordings of the SaladCast. I hear there may be talk about the games we can’t quite finish yet, VR pricing, vague news, and not dying in the snow and a hidden message if you listen in reverse.

Hoo-bloody-ray there's news. Quite a bit of it in fact. So much that it’s in danger of leaving not that much for actual E3. Just in case there is some stuff left over for next week Zac and Rob keep you informed.
In this episode: Infinifactory, Fallout 4, Splatoon, Oculus Rift, Steam hardware and refunds, Dishonored 2, XCOM 2, Microsoft, Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, DiRT Rally, Time Crisis 5, Star Wars Battlepod and some other stuff.
