DUST 514 was a free-to-play, persistent-world online competitive shooter focused on intense infantry combat augmented by powerful vehicles. It was set in and directly connected to the thriving player driven MMO universe of EVE Online.
After a week off for Dan to get some surgery we're back and Zac and Rob have colds. Go figure.

2012 is drawing to a close and that means it's GOTY time! This might be the one time in the year we carefully consider which games deserve honour and which deserve being locked in a room with a small radio playing Paul McCartney’s Christmas song on repeat forever.
Awards include "Best game that hasn’t really come out yet", “Worst audio thing”, “Biggest surprise” and “Most baffling decision” amongst others and of course the coveted SaladCast GOTY.
It's Deus Ex week! Ok, so there isn't that much Deus Ex coverage this week. We do mention it but to get the full effect we want two of the three of us to report. Enter Zac, Dan and a reasonable dose of waistline augmenting chicken pieces. Rob actually talks MORE Assassin's Creed in the mean time. He's a little bit sorry.
There is Gamescom to cover though featuring the Old Republic, Guild Wars 2 and of course Battlefield 3 "conjecturising". Dan finally plays Black Ops, Zac goes all S.P.A.Z and Rob even comes up with a new feature!
